SOUNDS FROM THE OTHER SIDE – WHEN EVP CAN REVEAL WHAT THEY DO OVER THERE
Since I started to make long audio recordings of my activities, I have uncovered bits and pieces of what existence might be like in the spirit world. Normally in EVP, we are looking to hear speech spoken by spirits. One would not expect other kinds of sounds. As I would audit mr recordings, I would find sounds that were definitely not there at the time of recording. In my observation, sometimes sounds are like an extended expression of what they are wishing to convey. It is kind of like how we have emoticons for text messages. What they express can also come with sound effects. Other times, I found that the sounds are coming from the activities they are engaging in. Capturing these on recording has helped to paint a picture of what life is like over there.
The following EVPs are soundbites I got in my recordings that exemplify the sorts of sounds I have captured. I think these are quite clear, but depending on what you are using to listen on, you may need to use headphones to hear them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
This clip was recorded on September 28, 2018 at a Winners department store. This is Prince saying, “I’m blowing bubbles”, and you can hear the sound of bubbles.
These next few clips were recorded on October 2, 2018. In this clip, we were at a buffet. When we first walked in the restaurant, there was a fire alarm ringing. The waiter assured us it was a false alarm and we took a seat. This clip took place when the alarm ring had been turned off. The spirits were were having conversations among themselves, and this one mentioned “Alarm”, and there was a sound of a single alarm ring.
During the recording of this clip, I was getting food. On the EVP, I found the sound of “drumming” on counter tops and dishes.
I recorded this clip in the dining room area. When reviewing the recording, I found out that Prince’s dog, Mia was with us. She barked once, and it was very clear and loud!
This clip was recorded o October 4, 2018. I was in a supermarket near the refrigeration produced section. You can hear a bird singing very clearly. If you listen carefully, you can hear P saying “Bird in here”.
In this clip at the supermarket, I heard the sound of a paper bag and then a popping sound. You can hear the words “Popping corn“. It appears that someone was making popcorn and giving it to the other spirits.
In my observations, the spirit world seems to overlap over our reality. They seem to be able to see and hear what’s going on here, but they also have things that are happening over there that we cannot see. Their “time” is filled with actives we are simply not aware of. I assure you, they are not alone, unless they want to be. They are having a fun time amongst themselves.

SPIRITS WERE FOLLOWING US SHOPPING – EVP May 25, 2018
When I was in London earlier this year, I went to Liberty, a fancy department store famous for its floral prints and other designer merchandise. I used to buy a lot of their printed fabrics. I recored EVP during my visit. I’ve always loved this shop. It kind of reminds me of the Art Deco styling in Under The Cherry Moon.
It’s become very apparent to me that smallish spaces full of people talking is very conducive for recording very clear EVP. It was very busy when I was there, so some of the clips I got were very loud and clear. Although it is very clear, for some of these, you may want to use headphones to hear them fully. The clips are repeated on loop.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. In this clip, someone is saying to P, “Tell them you are… Prince”. I really wonder what was meant by this! I don’t always get the whole conversation in EVPs, it is really like eavesdropping.
It seemed like there was a frenzy going on. Other spirits wanted to gather around and get a glimpse of Prince. In this clip, someone says “Can’t see”. Then someone responses with, “There he is. Prince… over there”.
The attention from the people watching us, got to be too much for P. He seemed to be looking for spaces to hide out in, and he said “I wanna be, alone”. His voice is a bit blended in with the music, but if you listen carefully, you’ll hear it.
Here is P saying, “A song bird there”. In the midst of that, you hear what sounds like a bird!
I remember the beauty hall being really crowded and noisy. A genuine fan came up to P, and Prince said, “Do you feel it, the power”. EVP clips rarely sound like the person when they were alive because there voice can only be generated from sounds in the surrounding environment. But I was blown away, because this one really sounds like him. It makes me wonder what are the circumstances that allow him to sound this way. Perhaps it is the array of sound frequencies bouncing around the room?
Here is a boy’s voice saying, “That girl is with Prince”. Spirits tend to speak kind of fast! This was is actually not too fast, but I almost didn’t catch what he was saying at first. Sometimes they speak so fast that you can barely catch a word!
We were leaving the store, and someone said “They’re going”.
I didn’t really end up staying very long in the shop. Not only is everything really expensive in there, but something made me feel uneasy being there. Maybe it was all this stuff going on.
Listening to the playback of the recordings, it is really bizarre to me to know that all this was going on on the other side while nothing extraordinary was going on here. Just when you think no one is paying attention to you, there are eyes on the other side watching. I feel bad for P that he can;t really get away from his fame, people over there recognize him, and it seems that there are no solid walls to really hide behind. I find it really bizarre that people would still care about celebrity on the other side, but the fact is that these spirits were all once human, and their way of thinking doesn’t change much after death. They can even still remain materialistic in attitude. I have even heard comments from spirits making remarks that I am “poor”! (I might not have much money, I am rich in personality!)

HE SANG FOR ME AT “AN ALL YOU CAN EAT” – EVP Sept 12, 2018
I recently recorded EVP at a buffet for lunch. One might assume that spirits don’t go to restaurants, but you’d be wrong. It was a weekday and we got there a bit late, so there wasn’t many people in the buffet aisles. They played all instrumental music in the restaurant, so you will her it in the background of these clips.
I got pretty good, clear recordings this time. But you may need to use headphones to hear some of them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
A spirit there noticed P, and said “Prince”.
For whatever reason, someone said “Come back”.
When it came time for choosing dessert, I picked out a couple items. The last item I chose was a Black Forest cake. I was kind of going back and forth about it, and finally decided to get a thin slice of it. I later discovered on the recording that P was actually pestering me to get the Black Forest cake. In this clip he says, “Get the cake”. So as it turns out, he was influencing my decision!
In this clip, P says, “Black Forest cake”. It’s become apparent to me that although he can create whatever he desires to eat, he can taste through me, and so sometimes he influences my cravings.
If you have ever wondered if spirits “eat”. I have your answer, yes they do. They seem to be able to create what they desire to eat. I was wondering if he eats when I’m eating. Here is P saying, “I’m having dessert”.
Here’s P saying, “Got cake”.
I wondered if P was maybe playing along with the music in the restaurant. I got the sense he was working on a song. I found on the recording, that he sang me a song,!“I will sing forever. For Andrea Mai. Hear my song. I wrote you a song. La la la la la”.
In the dining room, I found this voice with a French accent saying, “Adore, adorable”.
I have to say, he makes me swoon. My heart skis a beat when I find me singing on my recordings.

I FOUND EVP ON THE POLICE INTERVIEW OF LARRY GRAHAM
In April of this year, Carver County Police released the files from their investigation into Prince’s death. I listened to the tape of the police interview of Larry Graham, one of Prince’s long time friends. I listened with my headphones and I could hear that there was EVP on the tape. Prince was there with some other spirits. The tape quality was noisy, but I could still make out some things. I could tell there was a conversation happening amounts themselves. And I found that P said my name on there. He also introduced himself as Prince Rogers Nelson to the others.
The following clips were taken from the recording from the police files released by Carver County. Some minor enhancements were made to make the audio clearer for listening. These clips are repeated on loop.
At 3:15 on the tape, my name is spoken, “Andrea Mai”. This was quite clear on the recording. You’ll hear a bit of Larry Graham’s voice overlapping.
At 8:40, Prince says, “I’m Prince Rogers Nelson”. Unfortunately, there is too much background noise on this, but you can still hear it because the words are distinct. You can try hearing it with headphones.
I heard a low voice ask him “How did you die?”. At 20:15, he says, “Overdose on pain killers”.
The quality of the recording was not great. There was a lot of shuffling noise going on. So unfortunately, what I could hear was not a lot.
The interview took place on May 4, 2016. P was still coping with the the aftermath of his passing. This was one day before my birthday and I was still trying to figure out what was going on with me feeling him. I’d like to point out that this goes to show that after a person’s passing, they are still dealing with things, and I find it disrespectful that supposed mediums try to get a hold on people (who are strangers to them), who have just passed, and want an “afterlife interview” with them for their YouTube channel (they are fraudsters). I think that the way death is depicted in movies and television, gives people the idea that people walk straight into a tunnel of light and they become enlightened instananeously, rather than the less appealing idea that they are coping with their emotions about what happened.
I have always said that EVP is happening all the time. It is just that we are not paying attention to this stuff, so people are not trained to recognize it. You don’t have to do anything special to capture EVP. The main problem is hearing it, this skill takes time to develop.

I ASKED HIM TO PLAY MY SONG… AND HE DID – EVP Sept 6, 2018
Last week, I was in my local discount shop, the one I always go to, and they have Prince songs on the store radio sometimes. I was recording EVP. This time, I asked P if he could get his song, Raspberry Beret played. I only ever heard it played once there. I wanted to know for sure if his songs were being played when I was there because of him, and not just a “coincidence”. So I asked.
I was wearing earbuds and listening to my iPod. I thought I would still hear his song come on if I kept the volume low. I was there for about an hour and didn’t hear the song. And yet, I had this feeling that it did come on, but I was too distracted to notice. But I have a recording anyway, so…
Well, you know what I heard on the EVP? Raspberry Beret! At about 16 minutes into being at the store, his song came on. But to my surprise, the recording revealed some things that I have been wondering about.
Some of these clips are pretty clear but there is background noise, so you may need to use headphones to hear them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
First, I have been wondering, how does he get his song played on the store radio? I know that he can mess around on my iPad. But how does he do it at the store? Well, on the recording, I found him asking other spirits to help him. In this clip, he asks, “Can you help me play my song?”.
I heard these noises that I know could not be there at the store. It sounded like coins rolling. Then I heard a voice say, “Coin juke box”. I was baffled.
I heard P say, “Play my song”.
Then I heard him say, “Play Raspberry Beret”.
Then in the silence between songs, P said, “Raspberry Beret”. This is right before the next song starts, so this means that he knew before hand that his song was going to come on.
As the song starts, he says, “That’s my Song”.
Then he says, “Andrea request”.
Then says, “I get it for you”.
Then he says to someone about me, “I love her”. I kept a bit of the song in the clip so that you can hear that it was in the background.
In case you don’t know what song I’m talking about, heres’s Raspberry Beret.All this makes me wonder even more, exactly how they do this. I always thought that maybe they mess with the store radio computer system. But it doesn’t appear that way. They are playing with a juke box on the other side? I know that they create with their imagination to make stations in their reality. But how are they doing things that affect our reality? From this situation, I would say they are still using their imagination, but how does that interface with with our reality? They can imagine all kinds of things and it will appear in their reality, so what circumstances are needed for them to affect ours? In my observation, they seem to do very well with random computer generated situations. They seem to be able to take the available choices and make selections.
This also begs the question of how truly random are certain events? People talk about signs from the universe. This finding would suggest to me that signs are not necessarily “the universe” or God speaking. They are somehow orchestrated by an individual or group of unseen beings.
It’s a rather interesting finding, as it has proven me wrong that they are directly affecting hardware to make things happen. It brings on so many more thoughts and questions, that my mind is overwhelmed, and I have forgotten some of them to mention at this time as I am writing.

ALONE IN THE WOODS SOMEWHERE – EVP May 17, 2018
When I was in Sweden, I was staying at a friend’s place. She put me on in a cabin on her property. I had the place all to myself. It was right by a wooded area. When I arrived on the first night, I went in there to unpack and settle in before meeting my friends for dinner. I recorded EVP.

When I turned on the recorder, the first thing that P said was, “I like it in here”. P really likes being out in nature.
Then another voice says, “Welcome, Andrea”. We were not alone, as I heard other voices having a conversation with P, but I couldn’t make out much of what they said on the recording.
In the cabin ©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. The cabin had a narrow hallway, and two rooms. I wandered around the place to get familiar. I heard P say, “Let’s go in here”.

I don’t know what it is exactly, but I get the sense that P or someone carries little pebbles in his pockets and throws them to make some noise sometimes. Here’s a section of the recording where it sounds like little pebbles are being thrown on the ground.
I heard P say, “Flashlight”. I guess reminding me to bring the little flashlight I had packed with me in case it gets too dark.
I was getting ready to go meet my friends at the main house for dinner. I heard P saying, “Are you ready?”.
All the recordings I’ve done has shown me that P goes everywhere with me. It’s a constant presence. I don’t ever feel his presence missing. And in other cases, it has been other spirits that identify him, calling out to him, saying hi, getting excited that it’s “Prince”. It’s really been quite an exciting discovery.

PHOTOS AND EVP AT BOROUGH MARKET, LONDON – May 25, 2018
When I was in London, we went to Borough Market, a well known food market that has that old time feeling. It feels like you are stepping into another time when you go here. Kind of like Harry Potter vibes. The food is beautifully displayed. While I was there photographing, I was also recording EVP. Here is some of what I got.
Although the volume of these EVP voices turned out pretty good, you still might need to use headphones to hear these properly. The clips are repeated on loop.

©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. Everywhere we go, spirit people notice Prince. This occasion was no exception. I found a voice saying “That’s Prince over there”. There’s a rather interesting quality to the sound of the voice.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. There was a man with a guitar performing reggae style music near the entrance. On my way out, he was taking a break, I took this pic of his guitar leaning on the wall.
On the EVP recording, I found a voice saying, “Prince here”. You can hear a bit of the guy strumming his guitar in the background.

As I reviewed my recording, I heard a suitcase rolling, and I was surprised to find a voice that said, “Take a balloon“. Then a very cute, small voice said, “Thank you”. And a loud voice commented “Balloon look very cute”. Spirits tend to talk very fast, so this conversation happened very quickly, so listen carefully.
From what I know, spirits can replicate things that they see from our world and bring it into theirs. So it is my presumption that this spirits was following this girl with the balloon, and handing out balloons to passerbys.

At the market, there was a watermelon juice stand. I would get a craving for watermelon juice every time I passed by it. I did eventually give into buying a watermelon juice after I was just about done taking photos.
To my amazement, I found Prince on the recording saying, “Let’s get a drink here, watermelon”. It makes me realize that not all my ideas are my own!
This made me wonder if Prince was able to taste things through me. I asked him, and he said yes. It was after he showed up in my life that I noticed I would have cravings for maple syrup, which I never really did before. I know that when he was alive, he loved to drench his pancakes in syrup.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. I found P saying, “Tomatoes spaghetti” when I was at this tomato stand. I know he really loved his spaghetti when he was alive. I know he still loves it because on an EVP that I did on the plane, I heard him trying to order spaghetti and orange juice.
I found this to have been quite an interesting exercise, to photograph and record EVP simultaneously. Having images as proof to show what was there during recording, and hearing the comments that spirits were making.

PRINCE AND THE KIDS – PLUS, P SINGING ON EVP Aug 20, 2018
A couple days ago, I went to one of those discount department stores near my house. Before leaving, I decided that I would record EVP. I wondered if this time I might hear one of Prince’s songs playing on the store radio, as I noticed that since his death, his older tracks were getting airplay at Winners.
As I was reviewing the recording, I was finding all kinds of noises that just didn’t seem to be right for the location. It seemed as though there were marbles or pebbles being thrown around on the floor. I had the feeling that there were kids sitting on the floor playing with toys. I found a lot of kids voices. I only saw one child in a stroller at the time, no kids running around. The kids on the recording seemed to be interacting with Prince, asking him to play with them.
I have followed the work of other renown scientists in the field of instrumental trans-communication (ITC). I have heard from researchers like Sonia Rinaldi, that EVP can be used to make contact with people who are living in a vegetative state. She has made contact with mute and autistic children. She says that the souls of these children leave their body and they go out on little day trips with other children.
While I do not know if the children’s voices on my recordings are still incarnate, it is an interesting possibility to consider.

Here a man’s voice says, “Hello Prince”.
A kid’s voice saying, “Hi Prince”.In this clip, there are several voices. One voice says, “Who is this?”. Then Prince answers “My twin”. Unfortunately, P spoke very quietly, and was interrupted by another kid’s loud voice who says, “Look I made the glasses”. Another kid voice was howling in the background. A voice responds, “Yeah, so cute”. If you listen very intently with good headphones, you can hear P’s voice, it’s very quick, and sandwiched between.
A voice spoke to me! “Andrea Mai, Prince love you”
Prince was talking to another spirit about me, and he said, “She’s a photographer”.
A voce said, “Prince here”, and then another responds “I have met him”.
Here, Prince seemed to be interacting with a kid, making funny noises with a kid. Then the kids says, “That’s my mom”. I wonder if it’s possibly the kid I saw in the stroller.
To my surprise, I heard what sounded like a horse! Then a voice says, ” A horse in here”.
I couldn’t quite believe my ears about three being a horse! But then I hear, “Magic pony”.
And another voice says, “It’s magic, it’s magical, hi Prince”.
Here a kid says, “I wanted that toy”.
Another kid says, “So happy”.
“So cute” by Prince in spirit. ©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. And if you wondered, did I get to hear my song? Yes! P always comes through. I was in the store for about 30 minutes when I Wanna Be Your Lover came on.
In this clip, you’re going to hear part of the song where he sings, “I need your love, babe”, but on the next line, you are going to hear a line is is not in the song in the place of the original lyrics that was, “That’s all I’m living for, yeah” (0:42). In stead, you will hear, P in spirit singing, “I’m always here with you sugar”, and you’re going to notice a voice pitch difference. That is why I left a little bit of the original so that you can compare.
P was singing along to his own song. His voice is higher than his own recording. You can hear the difference one the words “Turn you out”. And then on the line “Make you shout”, there’a a microphone echo effect on it. And then the part where he says “Yeah” is a higher pitch than the original.
It is really exciting to discover the kinds of things they do on the other side. I am totally intrigued by the pony. It really makes you wonder… It seemed to me that P had become familiar with some of the spirits who regularly hang out at that Winner store. Which really makes me wonder, when you think you’re by yourself, who’s there?These recordings were recorded using my EVP Wrist Recorder 3 on August 20, 2018.
