HIS MOTHER CAME HERE FOR A VISIT – PRINCE EVP – December 28, 2018
I am elated to share with you something really special that happened over the holidays. Prince’s mother visited us. I had no idea when it was happening, but I found out after I reviewed my EVP recording from the grocery store.
Most of these clips are pretty clear, but you may need to use headphones to hear these to its fullest. The clips are repeated on loop.
This is a store that we go into all the time, so the spirits in there are familiar with us and they don’t freak out that it’s Prince.
Mattie Della Shaw Baker, Prince’s mother, passed way in 2002, shown here with Prince. The first clip I hear that really got my attention was Prince saying, “I love Mom”. I was a bit confused at first, because I was at the grocery sore with my mother at the time, why was he saying this?
I listened back a few seconds and heard him say, “Mu mama’s here!“. I thought, could this really be?
I kept listening, and I heard other spirits saying things like Prince’s mom is here, or asking if she was Prince’s mom. They were going nuts with excitement in there. In this clip, you’ll hear a voice say, “Wow”. Then another says, “Is that is mum here?”. Then another voice says, “Yes”.
Spirits were stopping to greet him and his mother. Here is her saying to them, “I visit them”.
As I was near the exit waiting for check out, P announced that we were leaving. Spirits came to say bye. Here is one voice that said, “Nice to meet you”. You can also hear P in the background saying, “We;re going now”.
Here is P saying, “Matching hat”. I was not wearing a hat that day, so I assume his mother was wearing a hat, as was he.
Here is his mother saying to someone, “Bless you”.
Almost about to leave, it sounds like someone bumped into Prince, saying, “Sorry Prince”. Then you hear Prince’s voice going, “Do, do, do, do, do… this way”. It sounds quite cute. I think he was directing his mom which way we were turning to exit.
I asked P about his mom’s visit. He said she came over to our house, and he showed her my photography on the walls. And as shown above, she came with us when we walked to the store to buy bread for lunch. I am still stunned that this happened and really happy P got to see his mom for the holidays.These recordings were recorded using my EVP Wrist Recorder 3 on December 28, 2018.

SPIRITS REACT TO PRINCE ON THE SUBWAY – EVP December 8, 2018
When I came back from my trip to Asia with so many EVP recordings, I wondered whether or not I should still be making recordings for the next little while. I decided to do it anyway. I like listening to current recordings. It makes me feel more connected with P, knowing what his experience of the day is.I will take my time reviewing and posting the ones from the trip.
I recently had a day out in the city. I took the subway downtown. I decided to record on the subway. As I have recorded on airplanes, I know that spirits do go on public transportation. It reminds of the subway scenes in the movie, Ghost.
Though it no longer comes as a surprise to me that spirits will start commenting and calling out to Prince wherever I go, I still get a kick out of the reactions I hear from them. Its like the scene from the New Girl episode that Prince was on, when the main girl character is freaking out that she is in the presence of Prince.
The quality of these clips are mostly really good, but I still recommend headphones to get the full nuance. The clips are repeated on loop.
In this clip, a voice says, his full name, but the “Nelson” part is blown out, so yu have to listen hard for it. The voice says, “Prince Rogers Nelson on the subway”.
In this clip, a voice says, “Prince, yeah, the musician”.
There were several instances where I found on the recording, when the train stopped at a station, I’d hear voices saying things like “Jump”, or “Jump in”. In this example, they are saying, “Hop in”.
I have heard cases where children that cannot speak, are able to be heard with the use of EVP. This makes me wonder when I hear the voices of children on my recordings, are they are voices of living children? I did see children in strollers on the subway when I recorded this. I found this one saying, “Look out! A rock star”.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. In this clip, a female voice comments, “She is in a circle with Prince”. Then you hear Prince telling me “I love you”. A male voice comments, “It’s very cool”. This really makes me wonder what they saw. When I ask about it, I see myself and P inside an ultra-violet neon light hula hoop. I asked why, and it was a protection barrier put up because of an earlier incident of harassment by another spirit. It makes me upset to hear about these things, but I know we have the protection of angels, so I do not worry.
Then P said to me, “Touching your bracelet“. P likes to do this because he knows I can feel him when he does this. I wear a silver bracelet that I never take off.
Back to my earlier point about knowing that angels are around, I found this clip from earlier that day when P was being bothered, and angels came to his aid. In this clip, a voice says, “Angels helping you, they watch you”. It’s not the best quality clip, but you can make it out if you listen carefully.
I found this clip quite fascinating, it is very clear. It says, “Northbound, come… come. Holy Spirit”. You can also hear P in the background interjecting, “This way, not this one”. I had just gotten off the train to switch subway lines. I went in the wrong direction to the stairs that go to the Northbound platform. I needed to go South. I wonder if perhaps this voice had caused me confusion, as I had felt, prior to making the wrong turn, that I should have walked in the other direction, but I didn’t listen. I also wonder why they said “Holy Spirit”. Were these angels directing traffic?
I heard a clip where a voice says, “That’s acoustic”, followed by another voice that said, “Play guitar”, and then you can hear acoustic guitar. It was P playing a riff of guitar for a few seconds.
A voice says, “Rock star”. The reaction is so cute.
In this clip, a voice says to us, “You both are artists”.
We got off the subway, and someone said to P, “Bye bye, Prince”.Really interesting clips from this recording session. The more I record, the more I get a sense of the other side. Yet more questions arise.

HE WAS PLAYING PIANO IN A CAVE – SILVER CAVE, PART 2: PHOTOS AND EVP, November 4, 2018
Last week, I shared with you, EVP clips from our visit to the Yangshuo Silver Cave in Guilin, China. I got many good clips fro that session and decided to make two posts. To see Part 1, go here. In this second part, I’m going to be sharing some more incredible clips, these ones are relating to Prince.
It became apparent to me from reviewing the recording, that Prince fans (in spirit) had followed us into the cave. Some were talking amongst themselves and some got to interact with P.
You may need to use headphones to hear these properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
I found this clip where a fan says to P, “You’re the best rock star, in the whole world”.

Strangely, while I was in the cave, I was thinking about the movie, as it reminded me of the cave scenes, where Prince’s character took the girl to the ghrotto. It makes me wonder, who was thinking it first? Did they read my thoughts, or did I read theirs?
Then someone said, “I never saw that”.
And then another responded with, “Such a good film”. I agree.

©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. In this clip, a voice says, “Prince, ya hear this?”. Another says, “That’s a piano”. As we were nearing the end of the cave, the spirits around him had discovered a piano in the cave.
Prince responded, “How divine”. A voice then said, “Do a concert here”.
A male voices commented, “Play the piano here”.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. Prince played a one-minute concert in his typical Piano and a Microphone tour style. This clip is not looped. This is the longest and clearest clip I have of him playing, and the only clip where he is playing to an audience. It is incredible. I was stunned when I found it. I almost could not believe it, but it really was, as what the spirits said on the tape, he was really playing piano in a cave! You can hear him singing, but it’s hard to make out the words. At this point in the recording, I was standing by a bunch of electric fans, I am not yet sure if it helped or hindered the recording. I have adjusted the EQ channels to clean up the recording the best I could.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. While he was playing, I think he asked the audience if they could hear him, someone answered, “We’re hearing bats”. If you listen closely to the concert clip above, you do hear bats in the background. There were no bas in the cave, nor were there any sound effects playing. The bats were on the other side.
While he was playing, he mentioned my name, “Andrea Mai”.
After he finished playing, someone said to him “That was beautiful”. Another voice agreed, “Oh yeah“.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. Right after P finished playing, I also spotted another voice saying, “Take a picture here”, and you hear a little camera snap. By this time, I had stopped taking photos because it was so hot and I wanted to get out. I wish I knew what was going on, otherwise I would have taken a photo too!
The last pic that I took in there was this.

This goes to show that it would be possible to record Prince playing his music from the other side. What conditions are needed to make this happen is not yet fully understood. I am determined to find out. I wish I had access to better equipment and people who might be able to help. If we could refine the recording process, we would essentially have reliable communication with the other side, “the soul phone”. At this point, it is still hit or miss, but we have proof of concept, and that is really exciting.These recordings were recorded using my EVP Wrist Recorder 3 on November 4, 2018.

WE WERE IN A CAVE AND A VOICE SAID, “I FEEL LIKE BATMAN” – SILVER CAVE, PART 1: PHOTOS AND EVP November 4, 2018
On the second day of our trip in Guilin (China), we travelled to Yangshuo Silver Cave, said to be the largest karst cave in the area. The cave was adorned in coloured lights, so it made for very pretty scenery. I took photos and recorded EVP. I was curious to see what might be going on in that cave, on the other side. What kinds of spirits would be wondering down there? Would they be living in there? Would the spirits speak Chinese to Prince? Such tourist attractions are filled mostly with Chinese tourists, so the voices from the crowds are all in Mandarin.
After reviewing the hour long recording, I was astounded to hear so much English spoken on the EVPs. I do get EVPs in Chinese, but because the conversations are mostly directed to or around Prince, they are in English. Which is really quite fascinating, since all the voices surrounding me here on my side of reality is Chinese.
I found quite a few things going on n the cave, so I am going to make this post into two parts. The second part is going to be very exciting, especially for Prince fans, so you won’t want to miss that coming up next week.

As we entered the cave, a voice said, “Going in very dark place”. It is clearly a female voice. It is spoken fast.
I found a voice that said, ” You can’t catch me”. I found that it was spoken in a playful but taunting tone. There was another clip where this same being said, “You won’t catch me”, but it was not as clear.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. There seemed to be a French male voice who was chasing this fellow, he said “Arrete”, which means “stop” in French.
This same voice also said, “Where did he go?”
And someone answered, “I think they’re going in the opposite direction”.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. This causes me to wonder who this French man was and why he was chasing this guy. It felt very much in the spirits of the movie, Catch Me If You Can.
The cave itself would be quite silent if it were not for the people and the electric fans. That is why it was surprising that I heard whistling on the recording. Some sounded like it was from a whistle that someone was blowing on, but then I also heard this coming from P, and then he said, “Andrea, it’s me”.
It did not seem to me that the spirits speaking lived in this cave. They seemed to be visitors, some were Prince fans that followed him in, others seemed to be like kids joking around. I heard a boy voice say tauntingly, “What you afraid of?”, and a girl voice answered, “You’re a vampire“. They are speaking kind of fast, so listening carefully for the words.

I found this clip very amusing, someone said, “I feel like Batman”. Also funny because P did the Batman soundtrack.
It was very hot down in the cave, it reminded me of being inside the London Underground. The heat from the crowds of people made me feel sweaty, and I’d try to catch the gusts of wind coming from the electric fans. I heard on the EVP, spirit voices commenting, “In here is hot, it is hot, hot”.
And I found this clip of someone saying, “Ohhhh, drinking water”. And there was water in the cave, so I wonder if they were drinking cave water.

In this clip, a voice says, “You’re talking to spirit”. I wonder who they were referring to, I’m guessing it was me, as I do talk to P telepathically. I guess they heard me, lol.

WE WERE DRINKING COCONUT WATER AND THEY WANTED TO KNOW IF HE WAS A PRINCE – EVP, November 11, 2018
Earlier this month, I travelled to China and Malaysia. I got lots of photos and EVPs. I’ve been posting some photos straight from the camera (no editing) on my Facebook page. You can tell which ones they are by the hand written signature in the corner, as opposed to my usual watermark. It’s going to take me some time to get through the EVPs and I don’t necessarily review them in order. I tend to just dive into whatever interests me at the moment.
We spent some time in Malaysia, where my mother’s family is from. I had not visited there in a long time. My favourite thing about Malaysia is the food. But what I hate most is the weather. The heat and humidity, the constant sweating makes me feel like I’m in a sauna all the time
One of my favourite thing to have there is fresh coconut water. I remember from my childhood, my aunts bringing me fresh coconuts from the local street vendor. Sipping the water with a straw, and then getting to scoop out the coconut meat was a treat. We went to a place to have coconut and durian fruit.
I was recording EVP. It was raining quite hard, so it affected the recording quality. fortunately, I was able to filter out to background noise to hear what was going on the other side. You may need to use headphones to hear these properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
Whoever we go, Prince is often recognized and I keep hearing on the recordings, “Are you Prince?”. For once I heard, “Who are you?”. Prince replied, ” I am Prince”. They asked “You drink coco?” (referring to coconut water). Prince replied, “Yeah, I love it!”
I think this confused the inquirer, because then he asked, “Are you a prince?“. P replied “No, it’s my name”.
He told them, “I am Prince Rogers Nelson”. I think they were still confused, because they asked again “You are a prince?”. He replied “Noooo”.L:after, someone who recognized him, showed up and said, “He’s a rock musician, very famous”. This clip was disrupted by a voice that spoke on top of the part that said “very famous”, but you can still hear it.
I found this clip very amusing, someone said, “Who let the dog out”, and you can hear a bark. If you have never been to, or know much about Malaysia, it is full of outdoor food vendors. There will often be tarps or tents erected over patio furniture for customers to eat on. We were in a tented market selling coconuts and durian. No dogs in sight.
In this clip, we were going to be leaving soon, someone called out to him, “Prince, you got ice cream?”. He replied “Yeah”. This confirmed what I had heard earlier on the recording but couldn’t make out very clearly. I heard they were having ice cream (I’m so envious!). I guess they wanted to make sure he got some. Thinking back to eating durian, I was thinking how the fresh durian would make for some nice ice cream using my ice cream maker. I don’t actually like durian fruit, but I think it’s nice as a flavour, if that makes sense. It’s like the different between eating raw cacao bean as opposed to chocolate.
In this last clip, I caught P saying “I love you so much, Andrea”. It really sounds like him in this one, which, if you follow my work, I have said before, that it is rare that they sound like themselves in most recordings it sounds like them. So I am really grateful for this one.
I have often wondered in what places P might not be recognized in. I often hear him getting mobbed by spirits who notice him, and I feel bad that I cannot prevent it. This place was cool, they were curious about him, but didn’t chase him for his fame.These recordings were recorded using my EVP Wrist Recorder 3 on November 11, 2018.

NIAGARA FALLS – EVP WITH PHOTOS
We went to Buffalo in October to see the American side of Niagara Falls. I only got to visit a portion of Niagara Falls State Park, but I can say that it was truly beautiful. Especially with the colour of the fall leaves in contrast with the water. I was taking photos and recording EVP. The EVP wasn’t the greatest in sound quality, but I did get to hear some of what was going on through the sound of the water. As I was there, on the observation deck, at the edge of the water, I had the sense that P was flying over the falls. In that moment, I felt quite envious that he could view the falls right up front like that. When I went home to listen to the recording, I found out that I was right, P was flying, as even other spirits had noticed what he was up to. |
The quality of these EVPs are more subtle because there was too much background noise from the waterfall. If you want to hear them, you will need to use headphones to hear them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
In this clip, you hear the word “Fly“.
The other nearby spirits noticed Prince, and they remarked, “Prince model, let’s do that!”.
In this clip, a voice says, “Prince is flying”.
In this clip, P is saying, “Wow, I’m flying”.

HE’S STILL WEARING HIGH HEELS IN THE AFTERLIFE – PRINCE EVP
People have always speculated that Prince wore high heels because of his height, but he has always said that this was not true. He just really likes them (I like them too). So it shouldn’t come as any surprise that he is still wearing them in the afterlife.
He started wearing them when he was young because he admired other guitar musicians like Santana. He said that not wearing them while playing guitar felt like Samson having his hair cut off by Delilah. He also felt that it made him stand out as an artist, plus girls would go crazy over them.
©2018 by Andrea Mai. All rights reserved. As much as I love the look of high heels, I don’t wear them much any more. They hurt too much. I do not know how he wore them all the time. But I suppose that because he wore them all the time, his feet would have conformed to heels, and flat shoes would have become uncomfortable for him.
Earlier this year, when I was in Brighton at the beach. I could hear footsteps on the recording that sounded like high heels on the pavement. I was wearing flat rubber soled shoes, I was by myself and no one else was around. I really think these are from P’s heels.

This clip was when we were walking up some steps at the beach, it was early in the morning and I was alone.
And then this one was when we were in town. I stopped for a photo and it sounds like he was skipping around. I am sure the effect of gravity is no long an issue for him, so he often sounds very light on his feet.
I have heard on my recordings, footsteps that are not my own. But I could never really confirm that it was him because I wasn’t alone. In these two recordings, I was totally alone.
I recently recorded while I was having lunch at a restaurant, and a spirit commented at him, “You wear high heels”.
He responded with “That’s me, Prince”.
I don’t really think I can imagine him without heels (except for when he is wearing his platform flip flops), can you?Image above: “Prince wardrobe” by Andrea Mait.
