Last week, I was in my local discount shop, the one I always go to, and they have Prince songs on the store radio sometimes. I was recording EVP. This time, I asked P if he could get his song, Raspberry Beret played. I only ever heard it played once there. I wanted to know for sure if his songs were being played when I was there because of him, and not just a “coincidence”. So I asked.
I was wearing earbuds and listening to my iPod. I thought I would still hear his song come on if I kept the volume low. I was there for about an hour and didn’t hear the song. And yet, I had this feeling that it did come on, but I was too distracted to notice. But I have a recording anyway, so…
Well, you know what I heard on the EVP? Raspberry Beret! At about 16 minutes into being at the store, his song came on. But to my surprise, the recording revealed some things that I have been wondering about.
Some of these clips are pretty clear but there is background noise, so you may need to use headphones to hear them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
First, I have been wondering, how does he get his song played on the store radio? I know that he can mess around on my iPad. But how does he do it at the store? Well, on the recording, I found him asking other spirits to help him. In this clip, he asks, “Can you help me play my song?”.
I heard these noises that I know could not be there at the store. It sounded like coins rolling. Then I heard a voice say, “Coin juke box”. I was baffled.
I heard P say, “Play my song”.
Then I heard him say, “Play Raspberry Beret”.
Then in the silence between songs, P said, “Raspberry Beret”. This is right before the next song starts, so this means that he knew before hand that his song was going to come on.
As the song starts, he says, “That’s my Song”.
Then he says, “Andrea request”.
Then says, “I get it for you”.
Then he says to someone about me, “I love her”. I kept a bit of the song in the clip so that you can hear that it was in the background.

All this makes me wonder even more, exactly how they do this. I always thought that maybe they mess with the store radio computer system. But it doesn’t appear that way. They are playing with a juke box on the other side? I know that they create with their imagination to make stations in their reality. But how are they doing things that affect our reality? From this situation, I would say they are still using their imagination, but how does that interface with with our reality? They can imagine all kinds of things and it will appear in their reality, so what circumstances are needed for them to affect ours? In my observation, they seem to do very well with random computer generated situations. They seem to be able to take the available choices and make selections.
This also begs the question of how truly random are certain events? People talk about signs from the universe. This finding would suggest to me that signs are not necessarily “the universe” or God speaking. They are somehow orchestrated by an individual or group of unseen beings.
It’s a rather interesting finding, as it has proven me wrong that they are directly affecting hardware to make things happen. It brings on so many more thoughts and questions, that my mind is overwhelmed, and I have forgotten some of them to mention at this time as I am writing.
These recordings were recorded using my EVP Wrist Recorder 3 on September 6, 2018.
When I was in Sweden, I was staying at a friend’s place. She put me on in a cabin on her property. I had the place all to myself. It was right by a wooded area. When I arrived on the first night, I went in there to unpack and settle in before meeting my friends for dinner. I recorded EVP.
These were recorded in near silence, so the value is not as good. You will need to use headphones to hear this properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
When I turned on the recorder, the first thing that P said was, “I like it in here”. P really likes being out in nature.
Then another voice says, “Welcome, Andrea”. We were not alone, as I heard other voices having a conversation with P, but I couldn’t make out much of what they said on the recording.
I don’t know what it is exactly, but I get the sense that P or someone carries little pebbles in his pockets and throws them to make some noise sometimes. Here’s a section of the recording where it sounds like little pebbles are being thrown on the ground.
I heard P say, “Flashlight”. I guess reminding me to bring the little flashlight I had packed with me in case it gets too dark.
I was getting ready to go meet my friends at the main house for dinner. I heard P saying, “Are you ready?”.
All the recordings I’ve done has shown me that P goes everywhere with me. It’s a constant presence. I don’t ever feel his presence missing. And in other cases, it has been other spirits that identify him, calling out to him, saying hi, getting excited that it’s “Prince”. It’s really been quite an exciting discovery.
When I was in London, we went to Borough Market, a well known food market that has that old time feeling. It feels like you are stepping into another time when you go here. Kind of like Harry Potter vibes. The food is beautifully displayed. While I was there photographing, I was also recording EVP. Here is some of what I got.

Everywhere we go, spirit people notice Prince. This occasion was no exception. I found a voice saying “That’s Prince over there”. There’s a rather interesting quality to the sound of the voice.
There was a man with a guitar performing reggae style music near the entrance. On my way out, he was taking a break, I took this pic of his guitar leaning on the wall.
On the EVP recording, I found a voice saying, “Prince here”. You can hear a bit of the guy strumming his guitar in the background.
I saw this girl with two suitcases carrying a big shiny balloon. As I reviewed my recording, I heard a suitcase rolling, and I was surprised to find a voice that said, “Take a balloon“. Then a very cute, small voice said, “Thank you”. And a loud voice commented “Balloon look very cute”. Spirits tend to talk very fast, so this conversation happened very quickly, so listen carefully.
From what I know, spirits can replicate things that they see from our world and bring it into theirs. So it is my presumption that this spirits was following this girl with the balloon, and handing out balloons to passerbys.
I call this pic above, “Watermelon Man”, after the Herbie Hancock song of the same name.
At the market, there was a watermelon juice stand. I would get a craving for watermelon juice every time I passed by it. I did eventually give into buying a watermelon juice after I was just about done taking photos.
To my amazement, I found Prince on the recording saying, “Let’s get a drink here, watermelon”. It makes me realize that not all my ideas are my own!
This made me wonder if Prince was able to taste things through me. I asked him, and he said yes. It was after he showed up in my life that I noticed I would have cravings for maple syrup, which I never really did before. I know that when he was alive, he loved to drench his pancakes in syrup.
I found P saying, “Tomatoes spaghetti” when I was at this tomato stand. I know he really loved his spaghetti when he was alive. I know he still loves it because on an EVP that I did on the plane, I heard him trying to order spaghetti and orange juice.
I found this to have been quite an interesting exercise, to photograph and record EVP simultaneously. Having images as proof to show what was there during recording, and hearing the comments that spirits were making.
A couple days ago, I went to one of those discount department stores near my house. Before leaving, I decided that I would record EVP. I wondered if this time I might hear one of Prince’s songs playing on the store radio, as I noticed that since his death, his older tracks were getting airplay at Winners.
As I was reviewing the recording, I was finding all kinds of noises that just didn’t seem to be right for the location. It seemed as though there were marbles or pebbles being thrown around on the floor. I had the feeling that there were kids sitting on the floor playing with toys. I found a lot of kids voices. I only saw one child in a stroller at the time, no kids running around. The kids on the recording seemed to be interacting with Prince, asking him to play with them.
I have followed the work of other renown scientists in the field of instrumental trans-communication (ITC). I have heard from researchers like Sonia Rinaldi, that EVP can be used to make contact with people who are living in a vegetative state. She has made contact with mute and autistic children. She says that the souls of these children leave their body and they go out on little day trips with other children.
While I do not know if the children’s voices on my recordings are still incarnate, it is an interesting possibility to consider.

Here a man’s voice says, “Hello Prince”.
A kid’s voice saying, “Hi Prince”.
In this clip, there are several voices. One voice says, “Who is this?”. Then Prince answers “My twin”. Unfortunately, P spoke very quietly, and was interrupted by another kid’s loud voice who says, “Look I made the glasses”. Another kid voice was howling in the background. A voice responds, “Yeah, so cute”. If you listen very intently with good headphones, you can hear P’s voice, it’s very quick, and sandwiched between.
A voice spoke to me! “Andrea Mai, Prince love you”
Prince was talking to another spirit about me, and he said, “She’s a photographer”.
A voce said, “Prince here”, and then another responds “I have met him”.
Here, Prince seemed to be interacting with a kid, making funny noises with a kid. Then the kids says, “That’s my mom”. I wonder if it’s possibly the kid I saw in the stroller.
To my surprise, I heard what sounded like a horse! Then a voice says, ” A horse in here”.
I couldn’t quite believe my ears about three being a horse! But then I hear, “Magic pony”.
And another voice says, “It’s magic, it’s magical, hi Prince”.
And if you wondered, did I get to hear my song? Yes! P always comes through. I was in the store for about 30 minutes when I Wanna Be Your Lover came on.
In this clip, you’re going to hear part of the song where he sings, “I need your love, babe”, but on the next line, you are going to hear a line is is not in the song in the place of the original lyrics that was, “That’s all I’m living for, yeah” (0:42). In stead, you will hear, P in spirit singing, “I’m always here with you sugar”, and you’re going to notice a voice pitch difference. That is why I left a little bit of the original so that you can compare.
P was singing along to his own song. His voice is higher than his own recording. You can hear the difference one the words “Turn you out”. And then on the line “Make you shout”, there’a a microphone echo effect on it. And then the part where he says “Yeah” is a higher pitch than the original.
It is really exciting to discover the kinds of things they do on the other side. I am totally intrigued by the pony. It really makes you wonder… It seemed to me that P had become familiar with some of the spirits who regularly hang out at that Winner store. Which really makes me wonder, when you think you’re by yourself, who’s there?

This is a touchy topic that vegans are going to hate me for. I wondered if I should bring it up at all. But it is the truth, and I feel that I must say something, because it is something that will affect many if it is not openly discussed at all.
I have noticed how Prince’s name has been used to promote “veganism”, and this is just not right. Although he may have tried a vegan approach to eating, he was only vegetarian. He was partially vegetarian. I say partially because eating fish is not considered vegetarian. People who have worked for him report that he is vegetarian, and that he did not allow any meat on his Paisley Park premises. But these were people who only worked for a limited period of time, so who is to say that he did not change his eating over the years?
People are probably going to dispute with me and use old information to argue. But here is proof. The last person who worked with him closely was Kirk Johnson. In his statement to police, he said “Yeah, he ate pretty healthy, he’s a vegetarian, the only thing he would eat sometimes fish, sometimes eggs.”
But there is other proof from previous years that he only considered himself as a vegetarian. On The George Lopez Show in 2011, when Lopez asked him, ” You’re vegan.. or vegetarian…?” Prince answered vegetarian. And in 2015, on The Arsenio Hall Show, when an audience member asked what was a something that he does that people don’t expect from him, he said that he can cook, “But only one thing… omelettes”. I had also heard of another story from a graphic designer working with P on the album artwork for LotusFlow3r. They were working late one night and P ordered up some scrambled eggs and apple juice for them.
When I looked through the files from the investigation of at Paisley Park, they showed his medication and supplement bottles. The medications and supplements that he was taking would suggest that he was concerned with chronic pain, fatigue, immune system efficiency, muscle weight issues, and brain function. These are typical issues that can result from a long term mostly plant based diet.
You may be asking, why do I feel so compelled to make it clear what his eating habits were? What does it matter? It matters because Prince’s name is being used to promote the diet, and there are many things wrong with the diet that is detrimental to human health. The press has been alleging that he was vegan, and animal rights organizations has been encouraging people to make a pledge to be vegan usingg his name. Many people look up to people like Prince to uphold their beliefs. Veganism has been promoted by using celebrity names to make it something that society should accept and adapt to as an example. There are very few stories in the mainstream media nowadays that isn’t attached to promoting a political agenda, conditioning you to take on an idea.
What I am about to say is going to upset a lot of people, those who do not understand nutrition and do not want to acknowledge truth. I would speculate that Prince’s diet may have been a significant contributing factor to his untimely death. Many ex -vegans report that they experienced chronic pain, fatigue, and brain fog after going on a strict vegan diet. They would spend years trying to “get better”, believing the lie that their pain was a result of the body going through a “detoxing” process. But this would be proven untrue, as those who come off the vegan diet go on to eat meats, eggs, and dairy; and report feeling significantly better with evident improvement to their health. Prince’s diet may have been one of the factors that lead to his chronic pain, leading him t need hip replacement surgery and needing pain medication to cope.
From my personal experience, I was mainly vegetarian and tried veganism for roughly ten years. I was never very strict, but I still showed symptoms of poor nutrition. I was tired and cold all the time, hungry often, struggling with skin blemishes, peeling nails, and hair loss. And on top of all that I had tooth decay and bleeding gums. I had four deep cavities that had to be filled. I was so shocked by it, because I did not eat sweets and up until that point, I had no cavities at all after all my adult teeth came in. I would later discover from my research that all these health challenges were due to following a vegetarian diet. I was not getting enough of the essential fats and minerals. After the damage to my teeth, I have since changed to eating a diet that includes eggs, fish, chicken, and sometimes lamb.
The vegan diet diet should actually be a huge public health concern as it is gaining in mainstream popularity, but it is not. Doctors are not dieticians, and they are only trained to prescribe drugs. There is so much politic correctness involved in the issue, that no doctor is going to tell you to stop it. Doctors are only equipped to treat symptoms, not find the root cause of illness. I once spoke to a Chinese medicine doctor, and she told me that the majority of her patients are on vegan and vegetarian diets, and that their diet was making them sick.
For me, having seen it from both sides, it has made me realize just how much of what we are told is a lie. We have been conditioned from the day we are born to believe in things that are not based on truth proven by evidence, but on lies to serve another person’s agenda. Why this should be a concern to society is this, people deciding to raise their children on a vegan diet are unknowingly doing damage to their child’s growth and development. Not only is their physical health at risk, but so is their mental health, as a vegan diet can cause one to become emotionally unstable and angry, while losing their ability for rational thought. The human brain is made up of fat, and it requires fat to maintain its well being. A vegan and vegetarian diet is often lacking in the cholesterol needed for the train to replenish itself. A society of emotionally unstable people that cannot be reasoned with, spells trouble for the future.
I know how disappointing it can feel when you realize that the truth is not quite as you thought, hoped, or imagined. Prince was a true idealist in the way that he lived, but sometimes ideals are not met with reality. Veganism has been promoted as the most healthy diet that can prevent illness. It has been promoted as something that humanity must do to stop the “destruction of this planet:. It feels disappoint to learn that we must eat animals to survive as human beings. But that is reality. And if this is the reality, why is the opposite promoted as truth? One can speculate that it is a bid to curtail the human population. This plan has been outlined in Agenda 21.
So my friends, if you are still reading this and you haven’t sent me hate mail by now, here are some final thought. Think for yourself. Do not follow movements. Educate yourself from all angles. And don’t let others influence you without having done your own research. Role models can fail, we are all human. The truth is very hard to find in this day in age. And when we find error in our ways, we should be humble enough to self-correct.

After the first time I ever recorded EVP in a public space, I realized that places with many people were very conducive for recording clear and loud EVPs. There was not as much worry about mistaking what was EVP and what was not, because the things that were being said were just not in the realm of possibility of being said outlaid by the people near by. Sometimes the subject matter of the conversations between spirits were just way too bizarre to even be taking place where it was recorded. In addition, I have discovered that EVP has a distinct, unmistakable quality that a human voice on recording cannot replicate naturally.
I have also found that EVP voices can sound rather cartoon like; they talk quite fast, they rarely sound like that actual person in life, yet there is still a definitive quality that is unique to the individual spirit. They tend to sound high-pitched if they are a good spirit, though not in all cases. Sometimes they sound funny, as though it were manipulated with sound editing software. It can sound like there were sound effects. I’ve concluded that their expression can be so much more complex than outs, the sound effects are like audio equivalent of emojis. Kind of like the genie in Aladdin who can create a situation out of thin air.
Over the weekend, I went to a multicultural fair. I was recording and I found some rather cute and funny clips. As this was a family-oriented fair, I think there may have been many child spirits.
These recordings took place outdoors, and there were tents for all the booths. You may hear a noise in the background that is coming from the power generators. Though many of these clips are very clear, you may need to use headphones to hear it properly. The clips are repeated on loop.
In this clip, a voice says “Achoo”, as though it were sneezing.
Here, a voice says “He… hehe”.
Here, a voice says “Ya, ya… mmmm”.
In this clip, a voice says, :Hey, hey, hey”.
In this one, someone says “Someone here”, and then a dog barks. There were no dogs at the venue.
At the fair, there was a dining area that we settled into as we had lunch. I caught Prince interacting with the other nearby spirits. It became apparent to me as I listened to the recording, that Prince was giving away candy!
Here, a kid voice says, “Prince gave us candy”.
In this clip, a voice says, “What’s that… candy”.
A kid voice here says, “Candy”.
Some asked Prince, “What was the flavour of the candy?”.
And then Prince replied, “Peach”.
P was offering the candy, and someone here says, “Oh, I want, I want”.
I found this whole candy scenario quite interesting. One might wonder, where is P getting this candy that he was giving away? I am assuming that he made the candy with his imagination, as it seems to be the case that spirits create things with their mind. I thought it was particularly interesting that the flavour of the candy was peach, as I have a very vivid memory of a peach candy I received from a pen pal in grade 6. My best friend had moved away to Poland, and she sent me this most wonderful peach flavoured hard candy that tasted so good, that I have never found anything like it since. P fans will also noyice that Peach was a title of one of his songs.

Some one comments, “He’s not tall”.
A kid voice here says, “Hey you, you two… wrong planet”.
A voice commented, “Great party”.
As I had studied to be a fashion designer, my father used to say things like, “They will need fashion designers in heaven”. At the time, I found this comment to be totally absurd, because wouldn’t everyone be able to just create anything they wanted? Do they even need clothes if they are spirits? But maybe it’s not such an absurd idea after all, as the creations of the mind would be limited to the imagination of the individual creator, surely some would be better than others at imagination certain things. I think the idea that one could create things in the spirit world and give them away to others a fascinating concept. The item would be unique to its creator and hold value in its uniqueness. How joyful is that?
Last night I watched Funny Girl for the first time, and there was a scene in there where I got this intense visceral feeling that this scene was were P got the inspiration from when he wrote Dance 4 Me. “I like it when I hear a knock on my door. You are standing there in your Christian Dior. Dark sunglasses in the pale moonlight. I like it when the scene is right. You can take your wrap and lay it on the chair. If anybody finds it I don’t care.” I’ve always imagined the Christian Dior as a blue blue dress. In the Funny Girl, there’s a scene where Fanny shows up at Nick’s room wearing a huge wrap covering her whole body. He offers to take it for her, and in dramatic fashion, she lets go of the wrap and drops it to the floor. He picks it up and places it on a nearby chair.
So I was reminded to post the second part of this list of DVDs Prince had.
I was able to find another photo from Paisley Park that showed more of Prince’s DVD collection. I couldn’t read all the titles from it, but I was able to make out some. There was also a photo of an Amazon packing list that showed some DVDs that were ordered. Some of these titles do not have links because either they are not available, or I do not know which one it is, this were the case for the music related titles.
If you are knowing of Prince’s lyrics, you will notice on the list, It’s a Wonderful Life. Prince made reference to that movie in All The Midnights In The World on the Planet Earth album, “Like Zuzu’s petals, a wonderful life the two of us shall lead”. He was referring to the flower petals that were in George’s pocket when he realized that he existed after the angel had shown him how things would have turned out if he was never born.
I wish there were more of these records from Paisley Park that would tell us more of what books and movies P was into. Any person who is seriously studying his work should be looking at the sort of materials he was looking at. That is where you are going to see what he was inspired by when he wrote his music. You can see that he was inspired by old movies and musicians from previous generations.
I know that he loved The Matrix movies. These are just the tiles I could read from the photos. There were a lot more DVD cases scattered around Paisley Park, but they were not legible in the photos. If you know of more film or book titles, I’d love to know.
I wish I could do a list of CDs, but they are too hard to read from the photos. I was able to identify one of them, which was A Decade Of Steely Dan. I get the sense that the kind of humour found in Steely Dan lyrics rubbed of on Prince.
