How Orders Will Be Fulfilled
Orders placed through my direct link will be fulfilled by Barnes & Noble. I recently discovered that I can use their printing service for US orders, even though I’m based in Canada. This is going to improve my profit margin as an author, since I can use their print service without having to give them a cut of my royalties.
For Canadian orders, I will be able to offer them as a signed edition.
International Orders
Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot fulfill international orders. Please wait for the Amazon listing to become available and order according to your country.
A Note on Accessibility
I thought about doing a large print edition for visually impaired readers, but the cost of printing is substantially higher because of the larger trim size and page count. So instead, I decided to make the book available as a Kindle ebook, because they recently raised the price limit that authors are allowed to charge. Kindle ebooks allow readers to change the font size on their ereader. I often use the accessibility features on my phone or iPad to use text-to-speech and have my device read the book to me.
Still Learning…
I’m still learning as an indie author—even right up to the release date—how to print and sell my books. It’s quite humbling to see all the logistical issues that authors face. Selling and fulfilling orders myself will make it possible to earn a more decent income as an author, since distributors take a huge chunk of the profits.
