SATURN & NEPTUNE IN ARIES: THE SEASON OF ONLINE SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Lately, scrolling through my social media feeds has started to make my stomach tighten. There is this constant, relentless energy of call-outs, exposés, people tearing each other apart over who is correct, who is problematic, who is spiritually advanced enough to have an opinion and who needs to be canceled into oblivion. It feels like we have all been swept into some kind of holy war.

Christians fighting non-Christians on airplanes. Spirituality influencers gatekeeping enlightenment. Gen Z acting like digital Puritans, policing every word, every micro-expression, every past mistake. Aggressive debates about AI, about astrology, about who gets to speak and who must be silenced. It is exhausting. It is disorienting.

And if you are feeling uneasy, anxious, or just done with it all, you are not alone. There is an astrological reason for this chaos, and more importantly, there is a way to survive it without losing your mind.

Understanding the Planets at Play

Right now, we are in the early stages of two major planetary transits that are colliding in the fiery sign of Aries. Saturn entered Aries in May of 2025, dipped back into Pisces briefly, and re-entered Aries on February 13, 2026, where it will remain until April of 2028. At the same time, Neptune officially begins its journey through Aries on March 30, 2026, and will last until 2039.

When you look at these two planets together—Saturn, the taskmaster of structure and accountability, and Neptune, the foggy planet of spirituality, illusion, and transcendence—both trapped in impulsive, warrior-like Aries, you get a recipe for spiritual warfare. Saturn is actually considered to be in its “fall” when in Aries because its slow, cautious nature clashes with Aries’ desire for immediate action. Neptune, meanwhile, dissolves boundaries and blurs the lines between reality and illusion. Put them together, and you have a collective that is simultaneously desperate for rigid moral codes and completely unable to agree on what those codes should be.

The Accountability Reckoning That Became a Bloodsport

Saturn in Aries asks a fundamental question: who are you when nobody is watching, and who are you when you have to take full responsibility for your own path? In the sign of the self, identity, and individual action, Saturn forces a collective reckoning. People are being called out, held accountable, and forced to answer for their words and actions. On paper, this sounds healthy. In practice, it has become a bloodsport. Because Saturn is uncomfortable in Aries, it does not know how to act properly. It wants to deliberate and hand down fair sentences over time, but Aries wants to pull the trigger now.

So instead of thoughtful accountability, we get performative punishment. A video goes viral, the mob assembles within hours, and someone’s entire reputation is destroyed before anyone has even verified the facts. There is no due process in a TikTok comments section, and the unease you feel is your intuition recognizing that the punishment is wildly disproportionate to the crime.

The Spiritual Fog of War

Neptune in Aries adds an entirely different layer of complication. Neptune rules spirituality, illusion, dreams, and dissolution, and in Aries, it spiritualizes aggression. Suddenly, everyone is convinced they are fighting on behalf of God, the Universe, or Absolute Truth. Opponents are not just wrong, they are evil, they are low-vibration, they are unhealed. Neptune dissolves boundaries, so people blur the lines between their personal ego, their political beliefs, and their eternal soul. Attack their opinion, and they feel you are attacking their divinity. This is why debates are impossible right now. You are not arguing with a person; you are arguing with someone who believes they are divinely anointed to save or punish you.

The combination of Saturn and Neptune in Aries means you cannot even use facts to win an argument because Neptune does not care about facts. It deals in vibes, faith, and personal revelation, so when you try to correct someone or bring logic to these online spiritual wars, they simply move the goalposts and tell you that you are not spiritually awake enough to understand.

Why Gen Z Is Acting Like the New Puritans

One of the most bizarre side effects of this transit is watching Gen Z, the generation we were told would be the most liberated and live-and-let-live, morph into the most morally rigid cohort since the seventeenth-century Puritans. The Puritans policed each other because they believed God was watching their every move and they had to prove their righteousness to their community.

Today, Gen Z is policing each other because the internet is watching their every move. With Saturn in Aries, there is a collective terror of being canceled, de-platformed, or socially exiled, so people preemptively become the morality police to prove they are on the right side. It is not really about morality at all; it is a survival mechanism in a digital panopticon. At the same time, moral purity has become the new status symbol because in a world where wealth is unattainable and traditional religion is rejected, being the most woke, the most deconstructed, or the most spiritually advanced becomes social currency.

Instead of using religious scripture to condemn people, Gen Z uses therapeutic language and spiritual buzzwords, calling people toxic, narcissistic, unhealed, or low-vibration. This makes the judgment feel clinical and undeniable, but it is just judgment in new packaging, and it leaves no room for grace, nuance, or the simple fact that humans are messy and flawed.

The Bizarre Public Spectacles

Another trend is evangelizing on airplanes and fits perfectly into this astrological picture. Airplanes are confined, pressurized, anxiety-inducing spaces, which is pure Saturn in its element of restriction. Add Neptune in Aries and its spiritual or ideological intoxication, and people lose their social filters entirely.

They feel an impulsive need to witness to or expose the person next to them. It is not really about the reclined seat or the mask; it is about Neptune dissolving the polite social contract and Aries acting on the impulse to smite the heretic in their immediate vicinity. These public meltdowns are microcosms of what is happening on a larger scale across our digital feeds. Spirituality has become a competitive sport, with people using enlightenment as a weapon to prove they are more evolved, more accurate, and more chosen than everyone else.

If a spiritual post makes you feel defensive, angry, or less-than, it is not divine at all; it is ego dressed up in angel wings.

Why This Energy Feels So Toxic

There are several reasons this particular combination of transits feels so awful to experience. The first is that there is no resolution. Neptune does not care about facts, so arguments have no endpoint and you cannot prove someone wrong when they claim divine revelation or spiritual authority.

The second is that the punishment is wildly disproportionate to the crime. Cancel culture is not justice; it is mob rule, and your nervous system recognizes this injustice, which is why it makes you uneasy.

The third is that the algorithm amplifies outrage because calm, nuanced content does not go viral while angry, finger-pointing exposés do. The transit’s worst traits are being artificially inflated by technology, creating a feedback loop of hostility. Finally, much of this hyper-vigilance comes from collective fear and past betrayals. People are projecting their unhealed wounds onto strangers, and you are watching collective trauma acted out in real-time.

How to Survive Without Losing Your Soul

The first and most important survival strategy is to stop engaging with the trial altogether. You do not have to watch the court case. If a video is someone calling out another person, scroll past it immediately and do not read the comments. Your engagement, even negative engagement, feeds the algorithm and feeds the aggressor’s ego.

Discern carefully between accountability and spectacle because genuine accountability is quiet, boring, and happens between two people, while spectacle is loud, public, and designed to make you feel outraged. If it feels like a show, it is not justice. Curate your feed aggressively by muting, blocking, or using the not interested feature on anyone who consistently brings this war energy. Your feed is your personal temple during this transit, so protect it fiercely.

Stop looking for the final truth because Neptune means the truth is obscured right now. If a debate feels like it has no logical endpoint, walk away. You are not failing by disengaging; you are surviving. Beware anyone selling absolute certainty because when Neptune is in the mix, the loudest and most aggressive person in the room is usually the most insecure in their beliefs.

True spiritual maturity is quiet, doubtful, and kind. Ground yourself in the physical world because Neptune in Aries pulls your head into the clouds and makes you want to fight about abstract ideologies. The antidote is Saturn, so touch grass, drink water, pet an animal, and do something real that does not require you to have an opinion. Give grace to the imperfect by quietly supporting creators who admit they do not know everything, who apologize when they mess up, and who do not pretend to be saints. Hold complexity in your heart and remember that good people sometimes do bad things, and vice versa.

The Higher Path Forward

Remember the cosmic antidote to all of this chaos. Saturn in Aries’s higher vibration is courageous integrity, which is not about tearing others down but about having the bravery to be quietly honest about yourself.

Neptune in Aries’s higher vibration is universal compassion, which is not about spiritual superiority but about humble recognition that we are all stumbling through the dark together. You are witnessing the awkward, painful, and often ugly birth of a new spiritual paradigm, and right now it looks like a bunch of people screaming at each other on planes and phones. But Neptune dissolves everything eventually, including these rigid battle lines.

This aggression will burn itself out, and your job is not to referee it but to protect your own nervous system until the fog clears. Trust your gut because your unease is your best compass right now. You are allowed to opt out of the war. Turn off the notifications, go for a walk, and remember that real life, away from the screen, is usually much kinder than the feed suggests.

This transit will last for a few more years, but you do not have to fight it. You just have to survive it with your peace, your compassion, and your sanity intact. The Unease We Can’t Shake
