You may need multiple income streams. You may need to separate your fame path from your money path. You may need to build a separate channel for income that is not dependent on your public persona. Michael Jackson had his fame, his royalties, his investments, and his practical, day-to-day cash flow from things like leasing his land. He did not rely on one source. He built a system.
The Lesson for Creatives
Your art is not meant to be a sacrifice. It is meant to be your life’s work. And your life’s work deserves to be funded. If you are visible but broke, the problem is not your talent. It is your structure. Fame is not income. Visibility is not cash. Recognition is not resources. If you want to build a sustainable creative career, you have to trace your money path. You have to know where your income actually comes from. You have to stop assuming that fame will pay your bills.
