Last week, I was in my local discount shop, the one I always go to, and they have Prince songs on the store radio sometimes. I was recording EVP. This time, I asked P if he could get his song, Raspberry Beret<\/em> played. I only ever heard it played once there. I wanted to know for sure if his songs were being played when I was there because of him, and not just a “coincidence”. So I asked.<\/p>\n

I was wearing earbuds and listening to my iPod. I thought I would still hear his song come on if I kept the volume low. I was there for about an hour and didn’t hear the song. And yet, I had this feeling that it did come on, but I was too distracted to notice. But I have a recording anyway, so…<\/p>\n

Well, you know what I heard on the EVP? Raspberry Beret<\/em>! At about 16 minutes \u00a0into being at the store, his song came on. But to my surprise, the recording revealed some things that I have been wondering about.<\/p>\n

Some of these clips are pretty clear but there is background noise, so\u00a0 you may need to use headphones to hear them properly. The clips are repeated on loop.<\/p>\n

First, I have been wondering, how does he get his song played on the store radio? I know that he can mess around on my iPad. But how does he do it at the store? Well, on the recording, I found him asking other spirits to help him. In this clip, he asks, “Can you help me play my song?”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I heard these noises that I know could not be there at the store. It sounded like\u00a0coins rolling. Then I heard a voice say, “Coin juke box”<\/strong>. I was baffled.<\/p>\nhttp:\/\/andreamaicreative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Coin-juke-box-2018-09-06-1425.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n

Then in the silence between songs, P said, “Raspberry Beret”<\/strong>. Then he says to someone about me, “I love her”<\/strong>. I kept a bit of the song in the clip so that you can hear that it was in the background.<\/p>\n
