A bond he believed was real, revealed as an illusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I listened, I couldn&#8217;t help but relate. I&#8217;ve been through similar friendship breakups. I&#8217;ve had people I thought were in my corner turn out to be passersby. And as the song washed over me, I sensed something distinctly Capricorn about the energy. I knew someone like that,  skilled at pretending, masterful at putting on an appearance, capable of performing devotion while keeping one foot out the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The realization at the heart of the song is devastating: <em>The best friend is gone. But were they ever really there? Or was it an illusion from the beginning?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was curious, so I looked up the recording date: <strong>September 3, 2012.<\/strong> I cast a chart for that day alongside Prince&#8217;s natal chart, and what I found was extraordinary. A 6th House Profection Year: Releasing What No Longer Serves<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In annual profections, Prince was in a <strong>6th house year<\/strong>\u2014and his natal <strong>Venus and South Node<\/strong> were both there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 6th house is about work, service, health, and daily life. It&#8217;s where we confront what&#8217;s functional and what&#8217;s not. Venus there speaks to relationships, values, and love. The South Node speaks to release, karma, and letting go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was a year of <strong>evaluating and releasing<\/strong>. A year where Prince was being asked: <em>What are you holding onto that isn&#8217;t serving you? What relationships, values, or beliefs need to be released?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The South Node on Venus is a karmic signature of <strong>letting go of a relationship that was never meant to last.<\/strong> It&#8217;s the universe saying: <em>This person, this bond, this investment\u2014it&#8217;s time to release it. It was part of your past, not your future.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Saturn Conjunct Jupiter in the 11th House: The Reality Check<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prince had <strong>Saturn conjunct Jupiter<\/strong> transiting his <strong>11th house<\/strong>\u2014the house of friendships, networks, community, and allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saturn is the great auditor. It strips away illusion. It shows you what&#8217;s real and what&#8217;s not. Jupiter expands, but Saturn contracts. Together, they create a tension: <em>What do you believe about your community, and what is actually true?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 11th house is where we find our tribe. It&#8217;s where we experience belonging. But with Saturn there, Prince was being forced to ask: <strong>Who actually has my best interest at heart? Who is real, and who is just taking up space?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This transit was already stripping away the false allies. It was revealing the people who were there for the access, the platform, the name\u2014not for him. And in September 2012, as Saturn was nearing the end of its transit through his 11th house, the verdict was in: The tribe was smaller than he thought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Neptune Conjunct His Moon in Pisces (4th House): The Dissolution of Home<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Neptune<\/strong> had just entered his <strong>4th house<\/strong>, where it was conjunct his natal <strong>Moon in Pisces.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 4th house is home, family, roots, and the deepest emotional foundations of your life. The Moon represents your emotional body, your inner world, your sense of safety. And <strong>Neptune<\/strong> is the planet of illusion, dissolution, and the fog that blurs the boundaries between what&#8217;s real and what&#8217;s dreamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Neptune is conjunct your Moon, nothing feels solid. Your emotional life becomes oceanic\u2014boundless, overwhelming, and impossible to pin down. You question what&#8217;s real. You question what you felt. It&#8217;s where anger goes when it can&#8217;t be expressed openly. Scorpio is the sign of depth, intensity, and transformation. Neptune is illusion, but when Mars activates it, the fog burns away and what&#8217;s left is <strong>fury.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mars conjunct Neptune in the 12th is <strong>anger that has nowhere to go but inward.<\/strong> It can&#8217;t be directed at the person who hurt him\u2014not publicly, not openly. So it goes underground. It becomes grief. It becomes obsession. It becomes art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And because it&#8217;s in Scorpio, it&#8217;s not just anger.
