Based in Toronto, Andrea Mai is an artist, a creative mystic bringing intuition into art. Her spiritual journey into creativity began in 2013 when she began to study Numerology and Life Skills coaching in the interest of personal development. Using her intuitive gifts, she created Andrea’s Number to assist others in their own personal development journey. She became certified in AstroNumerology in 2014. In 2015, her intuitive abilities led her to pursue photography. As a legally blind person, she challenged herself to master photography through intuition. As a teenager, she was diagnosed with Stargardt disease, a rare genetic condition causing extreme nearsightedness. Andrea has overcome her challenges with the use of digital technology, but it hasn’t always been this way. In school, she didn’t know how to get the help to accommodate her challenging visual condition. Her photography aims to challenge society’s ideas about what it means to have a disability, by disproving myths about being visually impaired. In 2016, Andrea created the concept for Dreamer Gallery, an online exhibition venue for conscious art.
ARTIST STATEMENT
ABOUT DREAMER GALLERY
Dreamer Gallery was created to exhibit fine art that aims to uplift the spirit of humanity. The founding principle behind it is that we are all creators of reality, therefore the art must reflect what we want to see in our collective reality. Dreamer Gallery hosts limited-time art exhibitions online because we believe in reaching out to a wider global audience. We want to reach people worldwide, 24/7.
We believe that art should speak to the soul, it shouldn’t have to be explained, because you should be able to see it with your own eyes and feel it with your heart. We believe that when you surround yourself with beauty, your life will be beautiful.
